April 1

April

In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.

Proverbs 3:6

I am calling you to a life of constant communication with Me. Basic training includes learning to live above your circumstances even while interacting on that cluttered plane of life. You yearn for a simplified lifestyle so your communication with Me can be uninterrupted. But I challenge you to relinquish the fantasy of an uncluttered world. Accept each day just as it comes, and find Me in the midst of it all.

Talk with Me about every aspect of your day, including your feelings. Remember that your ultimate goal is not to control or fix everything around you; it is to keep communing with Me. A successful day is one in which you have stayed in touch with Me, even if many things remain undone at the end of the day. Do not let your to-do list (written or mental) become an idol directing your life. Instead, ask My Spirit to guide you moment by moment. He will keep you close to Me.

1 Thessalonians 5:17; Proverbs 3:6

  1. [Note: It is this blogger’s belief that He has already replaced My heart of weeds with a new one free from the bondage of sin. It is the absence of awareness of this truth that causes most believers to consider themselves “sinners saved by grace”. That, however, is NOT my identity. It is exactly in keeping with His nature that His unspeakably gracious gift of salvation includes a heart like His. “Behold, I am making all things new” (Revelation 21:5). “Because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus” (Ephesians 2:5-6). “Seated” is past tense. It is done. It. is. finished. He is our thorough God. Live in the Light of your translation, believer! You have received a new heart! Live in the full awareness of His Life in you, and do not condemn yourself when indeed, He has not!]
